Read what Real Catfishermen have to say about CATFISHING PRO!!

Here's what people are saying about CatfishingPro!! These are only a few!

"the place I call home, CFPro.

I first came here on a quest to find info on Tanner's Creek. I didn't expect to post much here, I never post much on forums. I usually just read on the subjects I'm interested in and move on. But I noticed after reading several posts here, this forum was different.

First of all, there wasn't all the bickering and name calling. The people here seemed to be friends, and enjoy helping each other out. And once in awhile poking a little fun at their bro's. Refreshing!

Second, I found several guys from Indiana called CFPro home. And the oddest thing of all, not a dud in the bunch! "...........

CFPro Members and Site over all

Fall Flathead Catfishing Locations

When the water temps drop late in the year, some of the best Flathead Catfishing is to be had. Trophy sized Flatheads are actively feeding on baitfish and other food sources while at the same time heading to the deepest holes for the winter months. There are many variables that trigger flatheads to start feeding up and looking for a hole to winter in. Water temperature has the most effect on triggering flatheads to start this yearly process. The specific water temperature varies from region to region and leaves many flathead catfish anglers wondering when it will happen. For most regions, when the water temps get anywhere from 50 to 65deg, this is cool enough to get flatheads on the move and feeding heavily before winter sets in.

This article is specific to locating fall Flathead Catfish in small to medium sized river systems. When flatheads hole up for the winter they congregate in large structure filled holes. In a small to medium sized river there can be many different holes for flatheads to take refuge in over the fall and winter months. Not every hole will hold large amounts of flatheads. Some holes can hold a huge congregation of large flatheads while other holes in the same area will hold nothing. Bottom composition, structure, type of structure, depth, current and even a difference in water temps can be the key to a certain hole that holds large amounts of flatheads . We will never know exactly what makes one hole better than another so we let the flatheads tell us. Over several years a river system can change dramatically. Due to flooding, debris, and other things mother nature brings to it. One hole might be great one year and be dead the next. When a river floods, structure can be washed out of a hole and deposited into the next downstream hole or even further downstream. Creating better structure and holding a larger amount of trophy sized flatheads,,,,,,, Follow the link to read more about,,, Fall Flathead Catfish Locations

OK. here's the deal...

Yes this is the same set of proposed regulations many of us commented on last year. However back then it was only a proposal. Since the last comment period the proposed regulations have (I think) not changed at all and these previously "proposed regulations" have now been "Preliminarily Adopted". Which means they have beenCatfishingpro.com • View topic - Proposed Catfish Regulations

Flathead Catfishing Livebait Presentation Techniques

There are many things that can lead to a successful Flathead Catfishing trip. Location, water quality, flathead spawning times, food source, cover, equipment, etc,,,,
But having the right bait at the right time can land you the big one. Having fresh, lively, bait is one of the key elements to Flathead Catfishing in ANY situation. The more lively and agressive the bait fish is, the more it will struggle on the hook for a flathead to sense. Flathead Catfish have exceptional eyesight and use this as an advantage against there prey. A flathead can see much better than most baitfish. The lateral line on a flathead can pick up the sounds and vibrations of a struggling baitfish from a good distance away. Flatheads have barbels just like any other catfish and can taste a bait from several feet away
So knowing these three things, the more your bait moves struggles and gives off a scent, the better your chances at landing a monster flathead. Follow the link to read more!!!
